Congratulations to the 2015 Illinois REALTOR® of the Year, Loretta Alonzo, managing broker of Century 21 Affiliated in La Grange Park. Alonzo was the 2012 president of the Illinois Association of REALTORS® and has a long history of service and dedication to the REALTOR® association.
Every year, the Illinois Association of REALTORS® (IAR) honors a member who shows outstanding integrity and dedication to excellence in enhancing the real estate profession. The REALTOR® of the Year award also honors leadership and service to civic, community and charitable causes.
After being announced as this year’s distinguished honoree on Wednesday at the IAR Public Policy Meetings in East Peoria, Alonzo said it was a great honor and surprise.
“It’s a great honor because I know the people who have gotten the award before and I’m just in awe,” she said.
She will be formally honored at the REALTOR® of the Year banquet on June 16 at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield.
With a real estate career that spans nearly 40 years, Alonzo is a leader in the industry who has been active in the REALTOR® organization at the local, state and national levels. She twice served as president of her local association and was named the local REALTOR® of the Year six times.
