Flat Rock has two parks, a bike path, an indoor pool, and a fitness center available for use by the city's residents.

Huroc Park is a local fishing hole, great for walleye, salmon, and many other species. But this park also has a gazebo perfect for special events or daily use. The other park in town, Community Park, has tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, and even features an ice rink in the winter!

In addition to the public parks, Flat Rock also has a 24-mile long bike path and several classes and recreation leagues for all residents!

Annual Festivals

Although not technically considered a festival, Flat Rock has a Farmers Market throughout the summer to provide the city's inhabitants with fresh produce and local creations! 


The Flat Rock Community School District educates students from grades K-12. The goal in each of the schools available is to find the promise in each and every student and help them reach their full potential. The school district is dedicated to creating the best and safest environment for children to grow socially, and academically.
