Waushara County has eighteen townships encompassing 407,680 acres, of which 7,200 acres are water. The county has no village with a population over 2,500 and is therefore considered 100% rural. Topography varies, consisting of hills, plains, valleys, lakes and streams in which much of the region is used for agriculture and Christmas tree farming.
