Education

I have a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation through the National Association of Realtors.  This means I have the education and resources necessary to fully meet the real estate needs of seniors.

I have also received the Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) certification through the National Association of Realtors. This means that I am highly skilled in pricing properties, creating market analyses of homes, working with appraisers, and guiding clients through the anxieties and misperceptions they often have about home values.

A Sociology major, I received my BA from Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana in 1998 graduating Summa Cum Laude.­ In 2000, I received my MS in Sociology from Purdue University.­ A first generation college graduate, my work ethic and driven nature have been the keys to my professional and personal successes.

Professional Background

I spent the first 15 years of my career as a professional fundraiser.­ I raised millions of dollars for Northwest Indiana causes by inspiring region residents and local companies to make donations that accomplish their philanthropic goals.­ The same communication and marketing skills I used to raise funds for local charities will be applied to helping YOU accomplish your goal of buying that dream home or selling your current home.­ The same negotiating skills needed to secure major gifts will be applied toward negotiating­a great deal on your next home or getting you the best price for your current home.­ By hiring me as your Realtor, you also gain access to my region wide network of friends and colleagues developed as a life long region resident.

Community Involvement

I am very involved in the Northwest Indiana community, including serving as a board member for the Valparaiso Schools Foundation.­ I am a graduate of the Leadership Northwest Indiana (LNI) program and the Valpo Chamber's Leadership Academy.­ I am a strong believer in the­'To Whom Much is Given, Much is Expected' way of life.

Personal Background

I was born in LaPorte and raised in Valparaiso.­ After graduating from­Valparaiso High School in 1994, I moved down the road a bit to attend­Saint Joseph's College.­ I met my husband of 14 years while pursuing my MS at Purdue University.­

A busy working mom of an active­daughter, I know how to successfully balance deadlines and the needs of many.­ I am never too busy to help a client, friend or colleague in need.

One of my greatest strengths is making people comfortable and at ease working with me.­ I am always ­transparent, direct and compassionate.­ These qualities will make buying or selling your home with me a more enjoyable and­positive experience.
