With the summer coming to end, I must say, "where did it go so quickly?"
Like most of you, having children tends to gobble up how you spend your time. Would I want it any other way? Never.
This is how we spent our 2015 Summer:
School's out the end of May and we planned our oldest daughter's High School graduation party. Inviting friends and family out to celebrate this joyous occasion with us. Granted, it might have been a bit challenging to get to our house due to the midwest flooding from all the rain, but everyone made it safely.
June brought baseball and softball games just about every night. Our youngest in Peewee and our middle daughter in softball. And my husband coaching both teams to boot! We did manage to squeeze in a short vacation to Norris Lake Tennessee.
Tempertures were pretty mild in July, so our time spent at the county fair with our kid's calves and pigs they entered, made the weeks events bearable. Since this was our oldest daughter's last year in 4H, she worked extra hard on her projects. It paid off in the swine barn as she took Grand Barrow during the show! What an accomplishment she shared with her family that she will forever remember.
Now into August, our girls are getting ready to take steers to the Indiana State Fair. With high hopes of winning their breeds, the girls are excited to see what this weekend will bring. Hard work and dedication have brought them here.
Next week school starts up again and we look forward to our adventures for the fall.
Never a dull or stagnet moment at our house!
