You might say I am starting to experience panic mode. Like many moms before me, I have a high school senior living at home and my mind is racing of things that need to get done before graduation. If you have had a child graduate, you know what I am talking about!
Not only do we have to fill out those college applications, but the house, the yard, the garage-all of this needs to look nice before the big day arrives! Why do we make ourselves feel this way? Well, for starters, in our day to day lives, we have messy homes (and garages)! Because we live there, we have children, we are busy with work-the mess just happens. So, we all need a "special occasion" to get us back on track and clean up the clutter.
I don't know about you, but when I start to see so much clutter and mess around the house, the rest of my life feels "cluttered" and a mess. When I start to feel the this way, I begin throwing things away, cleaning out closets and drawers, and getting things back in order. I definitely feel better once I have accomplished a little organization.
This feeling of getting things in order will continue through next June. I just hope my family can bare to live with me through it all!
