Aurora's historic Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall is open once again to the public. It is filled with unique exhibits on the Civil War, on the local soldiers who fought and on everyday life in post-Civil War Aurora. Tours are FREE each Saturday.

Tanner House Museum | 305 Cedar St.
Tour the home of the Aurora Historical Society. Built in 1857 for William and Anna Makepeace Tanner, the home is a cornerstone of this history of the City of Lights. Tours of the Tanner House start at 1, 2 and 3 p.m.! Admission is free. Learn more.

Mayor Weisner launched the inaugural Pride of the Neighborhood Program that recognizes homeowners across Aurora in several categories.
 
The categories are : 
Curb Appeal - Properties that present an exceptional overall appearance, including house and yard.
 
Best Upgrade - Improvement of a property, either by a long-standing owner, or an owner who has recently purchased and improved the property.
 
Best Block - Properties on a continuous block, on either one or both sides of the street
