REPAIRS TO CLOSE PATH PHILLIPS PARK ZOO JUNE 9 AND 10
Phillips Park Zoo will be closed on Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10, while workers complete needed repairs to blacktop paths throughout the zoo.

During the closure, zoo staff will still be on hand to care for the animals, but the zoo will be closed to the public.

“This project was meant to be completed last fall, during our less busy time,” said Zoo Manager Randy Johnson. “However, the weather came in hard and fast, preventing us from completing the project last year.”

Signs will also be posted at Phillips Park and the Stover Visitors Center, alerting visitors to the closure.

Established in 1915, the Phillips Park Zoo, 1000 Ray Moses Drive, houses primarily North American wildlife including cougars, wolves, an elk herd, otters, birds of prey, and a reptile house with alligators plus several species of snakes and turtles. The zoo is open daily, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., year round, excluding major holidays. For more information, go to www.phillipsparkaurora.com.
