Nikki Richmond has worked in the Real Estate industry for well over 15 years- first beginning her journey working as an assistant for her family owned real estate company in Park Forest, Illinois. She went on to earn her salespersons license and in time became a member of the South-Southwest Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors. There, she worked her way up to become President Elect for that Chapter of Illinois. In addition to Ms. Richmond being a member of several real estate based associations as a licensed Realtor, she also actively advocates services for women and children in need throughout Chicago as a member of the National Association of University Women and as a volunteer for the YWCA.
In 2009, Richmond began working with a grant initiative called the Health Care Jobs for Chicago Southland which was funded through the U.S. Department of Labor. The grant assisted unemployed, dislocated or low-waged incumbent workers and residents of South Suburban Cook, Will, Kendall, Grundy and Kankakee counties. Nikki processed and referred close to one-hundred applicants; many of which are now graduates of medical certification programs. Richmond’s work was acknowledged by the Department of Labor and Governors State University.
Richmond volunteers with her local community food pantry packing grocery bags and distributing uplifting literature. Through the National Association of University Women, she enthusiastically promoted a successful shoe and toiletries drive called, “Soles for Haiti” in support of the 2010 Haiti earthquake survivors. In 2011 she and her pre-teen son collected and helped deliver over twenty Thanksgiving turkeys to families in need and notably, for her works- she was later nominated for the Women's Bar Association of Illinois 2012 "Women with Vision" Award.
