CENTURY 21 Affiliated - Madison Welcomes Patricia Jackson-Ward

CENTURY 21 Affiliated would like to welcome Patricia Jackson-Ward to the Madison, WI office.
My interested in real estate was ignited in 1995, when I served as my own general contractor in the building of my home. I'm drawn to houses, architecture, and interior design. I completed some of the work on my home by myself (i.e. installation of insulation, wood flooring, ceramic tile flooring, baseboards, staining of all woodwork, laying sod, and planting trees and shrubs) earning sweat equity.
I'm recently retired from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, where I was part of the Senior Management Team, serving as the Director for the Bureau of Business Services. In this capacity I oversaw seven administrative functions: Risk Management, Procurement, Fiscal Services, Fleet Services, Research and Library Services, Creative Communication Services, and Warehouse and Distribution Services.
I also previously served as a Real Estate Manager for DOT, where I oversaw a team of regional property appraisers and the department's Property Acquisition and Relocation Program (the eminent domain process) and the Surplus Property Program. I learned the importance of providing "Golden Rule" service to the Wisconsin businesses and residents involved in the eminent domain process. It was also during this time that my passion for Real Estate was re-ignited.
Meeting individuals where "they are" in terms of their understanding and awareness of a process is key to successfully meeting their needs. This is a talent and ability I've used repeatedly in my 25+ years in management and is a transferable skill set to the real estate arena.
I will provide "Golden Rule" service to my clients, ensuring I understand their needs so I may dedicate efforts in meeting those expectations.
I'm married with two adult sons and a grandson. I'm very excited to embark on my next career as the Realtor providing "Golden Rule" services. I bring the following skills: problem solver; integrity and honesty; a love of houses; and a desire to exceed the expectations on my clients.
