Throw the Perfect BBQ Bash Before the Summer is Over

We’re half way through the summer, so if you haven’t taken advantage of the gorgeous weather on the weekend – it’s about darn time you do! What better way than to hold a perfect BBQ bash?

First, you’ll need to have friends and family members to invite! You can make it formal by creating invitations ( is a great graphic design website that has templates for free!) or you could simply make a Facebook invitation. Either way you’ll want to let them know that this is an event they will not want to miss.

Next you’ll want lots of sitting and playing space for your guests.  Designate space for little ones to run around or even set up a space for a bag’s tournament (affectionately known as corn hole by us Wisconsinites). For seating, you could go with the traditional patio seating, OR you could take extra blankets and pillows you have lying around and create a bungalow-lounge area (see how blogger Lauren Kelp set up her outdoor seating).

Music is key to any party, so create an awesome playlist to keep your guests movin’ to the music all afternoon. Our song recommendations are In the Summertime by Mungo Jerry, Cheeseburger in Paradise by Jimmy Buffet and Stuck in the Middle with You by Stealers Wheele.

Finally, you have to have the best food and drinks to throw the perfect BBQ bash. Make sure your cooler is stocked with drinks of all kinds (for adults and kids) and have a large spread of food for your guests to indulge. If you’re a “Master of the Grill” try a new recipe that is sure to WOW your guests. has compiled a list of “100 Most Delish Ways to Cook on the Grill” – and we must say, that Grilled Nacho Burger does look delish. If you’re not comfortable at the grill, you can always cater your party or have guests bring a dish to pass!

There you have it! A fool-proof BBQ Bash that is sure please the crowds. Make sure you have lots of sunscreen and bug spray on hand too. Happy BBQing!
