To be eligible for a real estate sales associate license, the state of Florida requires you to...
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- receive approval of your state application
- complete and pass a state approved 63 hour course
- pass a state examination
- *do not need to be a Florida resident
The 63-hour sales associate pre-licensing course is the first step toward a Florida real estate career. A licensed sales associate takes part in the listing and selling of residential, commercial, and industrial property, land, business opportunities, and time shares.

Online-On Demand with Course books: The Online Pre-license course offers students a combination of reading chapters from the course book, and going online to watch short video reviews and complete exercise assignments. While in the program, you can e-mail course-related questions to the instructor or post questions to a student bulletin board. Books and instructions will be shipped upon registering for this course. The course is active for one year from the date of purchase. It may be possible to have the course extended beyond the one year maximum.
Live Course: If your preferred method of training is a live instructor setting, this is the option for you. This program is held at the Bob Hogue School of Real Estate Classroom 4809 E Busch Blvd Ste 102, Tampa, FL 33617.
