There are six parks located in Flushing as well as a 1.4 mile non-motorized path, called the Riverview Trail, that runs from the Main Street bridge and travels alongside the Flint River. This trail meanders through forests and wetlands and is open all year round. The trail is used for walking, running, cycling, and people even stop alongside the trail and fish!

Annual Festivals

There are several different festivals in Flushing: including the Harvest Festival in October, the Walleye Festival, in March, the Summer Festival in June, and one of the most loved traditions is the Flushing Candlewalk in December. The Candlewalk is two full evenings of holiday music and cheer. There is an open-fire pit on Main Street that is used to roast chestnuts, and lining the streets are ice sculptures and wood carvings!
