Wauwatosa Real Estate Listings and Information

Charles Hart established the first permanent settlement in what would become Wauwatosa in 1835.  Known as the “city of homes,” Wauwatosa was the second city in the state to adopt a zoning ordinance in 1921.  Close to the site of Charles Hart’s first mill near the present 72nd and Chestnut Street, was the site of a park, formerly known as Wauwatosa City Park. It was renamed Charles Hart Park in 1960 in recognition of the first settler. Hart Park is wonderful resource hosting many athletic activities, wedding receptions, and city events.

Wauwatosa has activities every month, everything from garden tours and farmer's markets to fairs and parades.
