Edgerton Real Estate Listings and Information

Located within the Rock River Basin between Madison and Janesville and just four miles from Lake Koshkonong, Edgerton is also known as “Tobacco Center, U.S.A.,” as upwards of 52 tobacco warehouses used to the line the streets of this historic city. Still known for tobacco production, Edgerton was originally called Fulton Station, but was later named after Elisha Edgerton, who served in the first Wisconsin Constitutional Convention.

There are no shortages of festivals or community activities in Edgerton. One of the most popular, called Tobacco Days, is a celebration including music, family entertainment, craft fair, living history events with demonstrations, parade, car show and of course, food. The Edgerton Community Pool is also a destination for the hot summer days, along with various activities, such as trails, parks, and community gardens.

For a great meal, stop by Blue Gilly’s Pancake Pier or Two Brothers Bar and Grill for their fish fry. If you enjoy camping, check out Hickory Hills Camping or the several Inns around town, if that is more your speed.
