Oregon Real Estate Listings and Information

Oregon became known as the “Horse Capital of Wisconsin,” because there were more horses than people when it was founded in 1847. Noteworthy, one of the first settlers of the area, named Nathaniel Ames, fought alongside General George Washington and was the last surviving war vet in Wisconsin. Today, Oregon remains a small community just outside of Madison and is known for its 2 golf courses, many community organizations, nationally recognized schools, and a general sense of pride.

Although Oregon is considered small for South Central Wisconsin, it hosts Summer Fest every year, along with numerous community gatherings.  In 2011, it was named in CNN/Money Magazine’s “Top 100 Places to Live in the U.S.”

Don’t pass up the opportunity to visit Senior Peppers Mexican Cuisine and Cantina, and Maria’s Pizza, not to mention Peaceful Heart Gift Shop.
