Professional Background

With 20 years experience in finance at banks, savings and loans, and credit unions, I have the financial background to assist you with your mortgage questions.  Having served as an officer at a Savings and Loan in Peoria, Illinois gave me finance institution operation experience.

My job as a program coordinator at the University of Missouri, coordinating conferences and short courses, gave me valuable experience working with professors and high level conference attendees from all over the world.

It was my privilege and delightful experience to live in Japan for 5 years as a relationship builder with my husband who worked for Caterpillar Tractor.

We have built several homes which has given me insight to the complexity of home building, buying and selling.

Professional Interests

Working at Illinois Central College as the Manager of a Tutoring Lab I was able to assist students who had inadquite reading levels to qualify for courses necessary to apply for better jobs.  This was a very rewarding experience.

When I lived in Japan I was an officer at the JAWK Association (Japan American Women of the Kansai).  Asa  member and officer of this association I worked with Japanese Women and other American Women building relationships.

I attended the University of Missouri-Rolla majoring in Education.  I also attended Illinois Valley Community College, Wabonsee Community College, and Illinois Central College completing courses in finance, accounting, education, and photography.

Personal Background

My husband, Don,  and I have just recently celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary!!

We have three wonderful, accomplished children.  Melissa, our oldest, is the Accounts Director at Cog1 Advertising Agency in San Francisco, Ca.,  Ryan is the Senior Production Manager, also at Cog 1 in San Francisco, Ca.  He is married to Maria and they both live in San Francisco.  Michae resides in Oswego, Illinois with his wife Becca.  He is a Professional Musician and Music Instructor teaching in Plainfield, Illinois.

Don and I are originally from Spring Valley, Illinois where we grew up and dated in high school.  Since getting married in l967 we have lived in Kingsville, Texas, LaSalle/Peru, Illinois area, Rolla, Missouri, Peoria, Illinois, Shioya, Japan, Oswego, Illinois and now in Yorkville.  As you can see we have quite a bit of experience moving and can offer many helpfull tips.

Having built three homes in our married life we have a good knowledge of the process and can offer suggestions to those folks who would have questions about working with contractors, architects, getting permits and general how to's on getting settled in a new or existing home.

Personal Interests

My very favorite thing to do is gardening.  I love the outdoors and digging!!  Over the years I have planted many trees and perennials at all of our many homes.  I also maintain a vegetable garden and love picking fresh items for our dinners.

I'm have been an advid golfer for the past 50 years.  We started golfing in Kingsville, Texas when my husband was in the Navy at a VT Squadran during the Vietnam Conflict.  It was my idea that we should learn to play and now he is the one obsessed with golf.  I enjoy seeing him play and shoot par or just above.

With our daughter, Melissa, son Ryan and his wife Maria living in San Francisco I love visiting the City By the Bay!  It is indeed a fasinating place to wonder around discovering great restaurants and experiencing the many amazing activities it has to offer.  With just a short trip to Napa and Sonoma you can enjoy more great restaurants and wineries galore!!
