S&P-CoreLogic-Case-Shiller-Indices-say Chicago-area-home-values-rose-in-September.jpg    Chicago-area home prices in September continued to grow out of their slump, performing even better than August's best-in-two-years figure, according to a closely watched index.

The region's single-family home values rose 4.3 percent in September compared with the same month in 2015, according to the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Indices released this morning. That's the biggest year-over-year increase since June 2014, when local values rose 6.6 percent.
