Professional Background

Tonya started her Real Estate career in 1994 as a Licensed Salesperson with Century 21 Dabbs in Homewood, IL. In 1994, she joined RE/MAX Excellence in South Holland. While at RE/MAX Excellence, Tonya received her  Indiana RE License (1999) and obtained her Illinois Broker’s License (2001). In 2009, RE/MAX Excellence and RE/MAX South Suburban joined together and she became an agent of RE/MAX South Suburban in Flossmoor. Tonya was recognized as a leader by both of these companies and given the opportunity to perform part-time Managing Broker responsibilities. In 2011, Tonya joined Keller Williams Preferred Realty in Orland Park as the Managing Broker of this organization. Tonya believes in giving back to her industry and has been very active with Real Estate Associations at the local, state and national levels.

Tonya has served on the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe) Executive Board/Board of Directors since 2008. She was honored to hold the position of 2012-2013 President of (MORe) serving 14,000+ members. Throughout the years, Tonya has served on numerous (MORe) committees including the Grievance Committee, Pro–Standards Committee (2006 Co-Chairperson), Government Affairs Committee (2007 Chairperson),Finance Committee (2011 Chairperson), Board of Directors, Executive Board (Treasure, President Elect & President).

Tonya has also served on the Illinois Association of Realtors (IAR) Public Policy Committee, Business Diversity Committee (2012 Chairperson), Education Committee, Nominating Committee & Board of Directors. She is a graduate of the IAR Leadership Academy. 

Tonya’s National Association of Realtors (NAR) involvement includes membership in the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR). She has served as WCR’s 2010 President S/SW Chapter, 2009 Treasurer, 2008 Vice President of Membership and 2007 Illinois State Chairperson- Community Services Committee.



Tonya specializes in Residential Real Estate, including Single Family homes, Apartment Buildings, Condominiums and Vacant Land.

She loves to assist First Time Home Buyers/Investors, Move-Up Buyers, Sellers and Seasoned Investors in securing their real estate needs.

Community Involvement

Tonya volunteers for many differrent organizations, usually religion or education based organizations. I am also an active supporter of Easter Seals.

Personal Background

Tonya grew up in and around the Chicagoland area. She has lived in the North and South areas of Chicago and it's suburbs. She has sold properties in many Chicago areas (north, south, east and west) and many Northern, Western and South Suburban areas.


Tonya holds the Real Estate Designations of SFR and BPOR.
She has her B.A. in Economics from DePaul University.
